Thank You for your reply but that leads to another question. If this is a foolish question please forgive my limited knowledge. When I picture "impact" damage I visualize a stone striking a windshield, a boat hitting a dock, etc. Could a wave cause impact damage ? I am 99% sure that this damage occurred on the water and the only culprit could have been waves. I know that I did not hit anything on the water. Also, what is the possible consequence if left as is till November when the boat is put away? Again, Thank You and I very much value and appreciate your insight and opinion.

I've got a crack like you described on my Nitro, will insurance cover this to be repaired? Mine's just to the left of the keel.
