Plane

Hello all, new owner of a Bass Pro 190 90hp. Im sure I will have a lot of questions so bear with me.

First one, what is plane? I think I know just want to make sure. I give floor it and my boat stays level but gets up to speed. I slowly give it gas and the front raises up then as i gas it it will go down. When Im up to speed I try to lift the bow with the trim and she seems to loose power or suck air. Thanks for the help
