Not to bring the subject up again ,but did anyone happen to catch on their local news over the weekend the PETA protesting at a Victoria Secrets show . I believe it was in NYC ,they had the models waking down the runway and all of a sudden there was like three or more PETA protesters on the runway with signs . In like three seconds the security guards tackled these women like NFL linesmen and slammed them to the ground it was better than WWF wrestling ( more real too) . I know I
 
yep.they all look like cows!must be from the natural COW fertilizer they use for there veggies!!
 
Man, I missed it! See THAT'S TV I would pay to see....the protester getting slammed, not the Vicotria's secret show....OK, maybe both, but dang, that is the best of both worlds. And action packed. I'll say it again, PETA is their own worst enemy. Their ignorance knows no bounds and the public sees that. Didn't they do a protest somewhere against milk and the kids threw cartons at them? That had to be priceless.
 
Tom, I also heard after they escorted the PETA protesters out, they reshot the whole scene so the incident won't be shown on TV and PETA gets no free advertising!
 
I think the fashion show will air Wednesday night.....I doubt PETA scenes will be in it though. It ceertainly was advertised heavily during the weekend football games.

PETA has it's priorities so screwed up.



A woman who stands 5'10" and weighs 115 lbs. is a cow's best friend. Pretty good chance she doesn't consume any meat at all.

 
The woman who ownes "Columbia" appearal company USE to be one of the BIGGEST supporters of PETA in the country!! That's why I couldn't understand why BPS sold so much of their stuff,....then I was told that a "very powerful source" within BPS told Columbia,.."You stop supporting PETA or we stop selling your stuff...we don't care if we sell 5mill a yr worth......you stop or we stop!!",..and now guess who supports PETA with MILLIONS every year??!! LEVI STRAUSS!!...Now that's why you won't find LEVI's in a BPS store anymore!!...So remember sportsmen and sportswomen...if you don't support PETA,..don't buy Levi's!!

Not too support them, because I think they are mostly terrorists, there was an article in the local paper stating that instead of destroying a number of fur coats, peta donated them to the homeless. Granted their motivation was probably meant to be a slap in the face to the "status" of fur, but it was a decent gesture.

Can anyone provide me with a website or an article proving that Levi Strauss supports PETA? I want to see it with my own eyes. I'm not doubting it's true, I would just like to read about their reasoning.
 
I'll see what I can find out...I was told that by a manager at BPS....he told me that when I asked why they're so heavily into Columbia stuff......that's when he said.."Not any more!!!" (and he gave me the background info)...I'm glad to see that BPS corporate is putting ethics before profit,...especially when it comes to PETA!!!

Thanks. I'd like to have something I can forward on to my friends and coworkers. I know that many of them would stop buying Levi products if they knew they supported PETA.
 
I just checked Peta's website, but they don'ty list their "corporate supporters" for obvious reasons!!! LOL...

I'll keep looking......it's got to be in writing somewhere!!

Buy Redhead jeans/clothes from BPS...they fit GREAT!!..and they're cheaper than Levi's too!!

I buy Redhead boots and upland attire. Great stuff. Bought my wife a pair of those flannel lined jeans and she loves them for winter. Wish they made them in spandex! I would have bought her 2 pairs then! Yup, Levi is out for me now! Thanks for the tip Mac. PETA can go suck on a senko! LOL
 
The connection between PETA and "Levi-Straus" is that there is a French auther who goes by "Claude Levi-Straus" who wrote several anthropological books. One, in particular, is about cultural myths entitled "The Raw and the Cooked".



Claude himself, either is a big PETA supporter, or his work is used by PETA enthusiasts to support their position from an anthropological perspective.



I don't think he has anything to do with Levi-Straus, the jean company.
 
Well,..I was told that by a person within BPS that i consider a "reliable source",..but that in no way gaurantees that it's accurate!!!..LOL...so I could be wrong, but he was pretty adamant about the fact that Columbia no longer supports PETA and "Levi's does"....so DON'T BOYCOTT LEVI's just yet,....I could've been fed a line of bullion!!! (I HATE when that happens!!..LOL)
 
Boatless,....just buy RedHead stuff,...then everybody's safe!!...ahahahhah....and we KNOW that no redhead money is going to the anti's!!
 
I was a little bored here at work, so curiousity got the best of me and I had to check out PETA's website. Check out this asenine press release. What a bunch of morons.



I wonder if the pun about "stiff" resistance was intentional. Ha!
