Need some help on the sticker issue here. Just like everyone here, I have a state park parking sticker on the truck's windshield, but I am trying to remove it since I need to replace the windshield. Do you know any way to take it off so I can re-glue it back to the new windshield??? Any special solution to spray or something?

I know you can buy the replacement sticker for your car, but thought I should exhaust all my options before I do that.

Any advise will be appreciate!

I don't know of any way to remove it in one piece. I use to have to use a razor blade to remove mine but now a use a piece of scotch tape to hold it in place without removing the backing. Chris.

I'm in Olathe KS-- Was able to remove my KS sticker with a razor Blade--- Took it to the Parks and wildlive -- they told me to go ahead and put it on my new windshield -- it was in good shape and still had "sticky" on it. Also I had the reciept for it -- they said try it---- replacement would have cost $10. That was 2 months ago-- works ok--

You might try a hair dryer or heat gun...should soften the adhesive to facilitate removal

While I don't have the solution for this one, I have for the next. We run into this alot where as soon as we get a new sticker we end up selling a car/van. so i've gone to putting doubleface tape strips on the sticker instead of actualy mounting it with the supplied peel off stuff. Ours go on the inside window and some go on the rear view mirror.

Thanks guys!!! I think I will try the razor blade first, and see whether I can peel it off without any problem. To HaleDamage, I live in Liberty, just north of Kansas City, and just like you, my problem is the KS sticker. I hope I can remove it! =)

You could stop at the local vinyl sign shop. They should have a spray bottle of Rapid Tack Remover solution. It is made to take decals and vinyl off of surfaces. I used to be in this business so I still have some that I use all the time. The other thing I do anytime I have one of these types of stickers is to peel off the backing/fronting and then stick it to a clear piece of Suran Wrap or thin plastic. I then use a couple of small pieces of clear tape to attach to inside of windshield. This way it is easily removed in the future.

Eric-- If you can't get the stick off-- that the pieces of sticker and the invoice for the new windshield in -- $10 is still better then $40 for a new one or $6 per day.

Going to try Hillsdale Sunday morning -- Hopefully it will be to cold for the skiers and jet skies...I Am new and still tring to learn some of the KS lake's hot spots. Like Melvern llake the best so far..but the Chiefs play @ noon --

Good luck HaleDamage
