Yesterday evening I was moving from the shoreline out to an island as fast as the trolling motor would take us, we had a couple of hundred yards of open water to cross. I told my wife to sit down while we made the jaunt, but she was still standing on the rear deck when we hit the stump. After I got her back in the boat my 11 year old and myself had the good since not to laugh, but no such discretion from the 5 year old, so he had to face most of her wrath. The good news is she was not hurt! And my wife is okay too!

ROFLMAO and my wife is too....:0)

Glad to hear they are OK.

I,m just wondering if you are ever going to tell her. "I told you to sit down"... Naw, Why push your luck..LOL

Readdurty....

An opportunity like this may only come along once in a lifetime...

Tell her that by coincidence you happen to read about a "man overboard" incident at the RCL Tourney (one really did happen!!!) And, that you also found out that every such incident is REQUIRED to be REPORTED to the US Coast Guard. But, considering that she is you wife, and all...and that the "interview" would probably be embarassing...to her...That they issue review opinions that are published in the Federal Register..identifying the parties and assigning blame, etc!!!! You think right now it would be best just "kept quiet"... Then you will have forever...the "I saved you by not reporting it" or the "I can still report it so you better do X...."

Thanks for the advise guys! But I think I'll just leave it alone. You see the first time I give her a hard time about it some one will be blamed(ME)! Right now and for the next few weeks we are in the don't speak of this or you are toast stage. In the next stage I should be able to mention the event in passing. Something like, "we haven't caught this many crappie since that day you fell in the lake". I'll know it is too soon if she comes back with, "you mean that day you knocked me off the boat"! I figure I will chance the first barb or joke sometime between Halloween and Christmas 2002. Better safe than sorry!

glad you posted it . also glad no injuries. by posting you might save someone else from having that happen.thanks stan.
