i was wondering if sum1 could help me.....i have a pro-18 and i bought an onboard charger for it. there's no room anywhere in the back to mount it except on the top of the gas tank. would this be safe? if so, how do i anchor it? the tank is plastic. but it would be the perfect place.....any advice would be appreciated !!

I don't that would be a good idea. Can't you mount it on the transom?

I'm not familar with your boat, but I would not mount the charger on the gas tank. If you do and you have loved ones, call your insurance company first and make sure your policy is up to date.

Paul, see if you have access to the top of the transom on the inside. My 175 has the charger mounted there, on the left side. It is tight but it fits. I would advise against putting the charger on the fuel tank.

Da Bear beat me to it, lol. Mine is mounted same place. Strongly advise against mounting to fuel tank.
