I brought some life back to the carpet in my '99 Nitro 882 by using my wife's hand held steam cleaner on it. The process took some elbow grease and a little time, but looks alot better. I'm not sure how long the newer look will last, but for now I'm happy with the results.

:D. Clean my carpet every year since new (2001) with a scrub brush and a little spray on carpet cleaner. Minimal effort. And, I'm careful about what I track in. No catfish allowed in the boat; those mothers can slime up a storm.

vinegar and water works miracles......fluffs it up and looks like new

dchance...My '06 Tracker PT815 needs some TLC this spring. Do you scrub it around with a brush or something? Then flush with water and wetvac I presume?

Thanks!

Just be careful with steamers and pressure washers. They like to remove the glue from the carpet backing when used to strong in application. Dawn dish washing liquid (and/or Simple Green), a curry comb (horse brush) and a lot of water has made many a boat deck carpet look like new also. Trim up when finished on a sunny day and let Mother Nature dry it out to save any carpet getting pulled away from dampness and the force of a vacuum. Good luck! ;)
