The deal at work fell through! Apparently it was never meant to be. They had us spinning our wheels. The "customer" used us as leverage against our competitors to get more out of the deal for free. I knew that was a possibility, but we never even had a chance. They were waving a carrot in front of our nose! Then another mini contract I had signed just got pulled back. THEN yesterday I get a call from the guy putting together the deal on my house, the buyer has put everything on hold! I've already incurred a grand in lawyers fees. If he tries to back out I'm going after him for it. And I was just about to put my $1,000 deposit down on a house offer. That would leave me $2k down. The leaves haven't even turned let alone fallen off the trees and I have to guide for birds this weekend. Boo hoo! I give up! What gives man? Can't a guy catch a stinkin break once in a while? Anybody got some cheery news? Marke, you sell a 929 yet? LOL

i hate buying selling houses as there are just too many people involved. something always "comes up" in a deal - financing, insurance, termites, home owners assoc, inspections etc...... houses can be very frustrating. business deals are getting real tuff also. i work in the construction industry and bid projects and also work owner neg. deals. money is simply tight and the economy is gettin rough. thinkin about putting my tools back on so that i will have a solid paycheck if things turn any worse. hang in there rob and keep putting your best foot forward. it will work out.

Know the feelin' Rob. I didn't even come close to my quota in new sales this month because of flaky customers. They suck! Remember... this too shall pass! That's what is so wonderful about boats and fishing and baby daughters/sons! They help you through stuff like this.

I'm having a "decent" month, but I'm not used to "decent". I'm used to be the rainmaker! This bites! It's not a ego thing, I just doing the very best I can and this stupid economy has me spinning my wheels. I just threw my hands up looking for a house and called the MFR home guy. I'm trading in and getting a mod I think. Put it on my land where I'm at. The locale isn't bad, a little too close to the road, but I'll put up a privacy fence and dog runs. Then a 2 car garage and stay a while. At least I'm only 10 minutes (LOL for Mac and Ken) from at least 3 launches and 15 minutes from all the hunting you could ask for.

A 929 Rob? I'd be happy to sell 12' Topper with 5hp merc right now. No one has bought my house yet and Jill and the boys are still in NH. Keep your chin up...We are both waaayy to young to get all stressed out. It's only money. At least at the end of the day you can still give the kids a kiss and hug and tuck them in. That's all I want right now is my family here with me.

I feel for both you guys. Been there; done that. And it still continues. Life is so full of ups and downs; when you're young and have big dreams, those downs can really suck. (They don't exactly bring joy at older ages either.....)



Hang in there! Always do your best with what's in front of you. With just a little bit of luck and time - and a lot of persistance and patience - your life will go where you need it to be!
