Finally getting the performance expected for my 03 nx882 with a 175 Optimax.After trying diff prop,raising motor,small hydrofoil,removing plugs from prop,I added a Stingray foil and now the boat jumps on plane with hardly any bow rise,before if I had full tank of gas,full live wells and two people in boat it would take forever to get on plane if at all.Saturday with three people,full live well and full fuel tank,boat planed out in less than 8 seconds.

Mass, did you consider a jackplate? Probably get the same results plus more top end.

Rob, the 882 has an 8" plate standard form the factory. Im surprised it took a foil it cure the por holeshot. Ontmin i had the prop worked and raised the motor up as far as i could on the plate and it screams out of hte hole now and is faster on the top end.

Jim B I'll have to get the name of where you sent your prop at the end of fish'n season to send out mine.I would like to increase top end speed if possible,getting 60-65 mph at wot (5950 rpm).Have a 27 tempest plus.How much to get the prop worked?

I paid around 215-220 if i remember correctly for everything including the return shipping, i forget what it cost ro have it shipped out there. Im surprised you have a 27 tempest on that boat, i would think a 25 would be a better fit.
