I KNOW THERE ARE SOME AVID BASS FANS AND YES I BASS FISH SOME TOO. BUT IF YOU EVER HANG INTO A BIG BULL RED YOU WILL THINK MOBY DICK IS ON THE OTHER END.

I've caught some reds when in Florida - but NOTHING like those!

You're right! They put up a "whale" of a fight!

WooooHoooo, maybe the 2004 Rally should be a special Salt Water Edition Rally. SWEET!!!

Nice fish! I just uploaded a pic (Rough Seas Redfish) to My Library of the monster reds my buddy J.R. and I stumbled into last Feb. in Destin. We had originally met to go offshore with another friend of mine, but the seas were ferocious. After two days of waiting/hoping the seas would lay down, we grabbed our only spinning outfits (one each, 14# test) and went to the pier to see what might stretch our string. Well, we never expected to have a slough of big reds waiting for a couple hicks like us! We fought and lost 5 or 6 that size before another brave soul beared the elements and showed up with a bridge net. The one in the pic was the only one we hoisted up for a photo, but all were within ounces of him, most rodeoing our line around the pilings below us. With rain coming sideways, wind at 30-45mph we were asking ourselves, "What the heck are we doing here?", and at about that time we'd get hit to fight a big red or get spooled having to run down the pier and buy more line to try again. The guy in the bait shack thought we were nuts as he spooled and respooled our reels. It was one of the most miserably enjoyable times I have ever had!
