Nitro Savage Summit Edition?

What is the difference between a normal Nitro Savage and a Nitro Savage Summit Edition? Is there a web site that gives information on the older Nitro's like the 96' up models? I just like to get as much information as possible before buying and would like to find some information on the older models.

I had 2 Savage Summits, a 96 & a 98, they have been my favorite boats to date. As far as the difference in the summit there is very little and what little there is has to do mainly w/ appearance. The summits had a little different color schemes, more pinstriping, seats were upgraded a little, summit decals, lighted boxes, external oil fill (i think) just mainly appearance. Some one correct me if I am wrong.



You will love the boat. Only complaint I had was the front storage needed 2 boxes instead of just 1 big one. KENNY

Didn't the Summit also come with an upgraded aeration system AND a leather jacket for the buyer?

Aaron,..Kenny's correct,..they were mostly cosmetic changes and a couple of "options" like the remote oil fill were standard with the summit pkg...there might have been another couple of upgrades on the summit's that were otherwise options on the regular 896's....but i can't remember for sure. They also gave the Summit Owners a sweeeet leather jacket that was embroidered with Nitro Savage "Summit Edition" on it.....very cool looking...infact I still have my jacket, but I'm giving it to Buzz in March when he comes to our Spring Classic. That jacket's far too cool to just get rid of, and I can't wear it anymore since I no longer run a Nitro. I'm trusting that Buzz will sport that leather with pride!!..LOL
