I was wondering if I should raise this problem with my dealer. I took out the rear storage boxes on my 2001 nx 896 the other day for cleaning when I noticed a problem. There is a support brace between the livewells and the gas tank that runs the width of the boat from the floor to the hull. It is completly seperated from the hull because the fiberglass has cracked. I need to know how much support this gives the rear of the boat. Should I stop driving it or can it wait? Is it possible to fix without removing the floor? I can't see a way to fix it where it goes between the livewell and the tank. Any information would be great. Any one else had this happen?

Arnold, that sounds like an integral support. I would not drive the boat at all, and get it back to the shop ASAP. Especially if it seperated from the fiberglass. The whole rear could begin to flex, then you have much worse problems. Good luck and let us know what the diagnosis is.

Going home tonight and looking mine over. What kind of water do you run, large waves etc.
