I have an offer on the Banana Boat. It's short of what I wanted but we'll see where it goes.

My question is does anyone know if the 10 hull warranty is transferrable and is there a charge? How could I find out?

I believe that the Hull warranty is transferrable. Not sure if it's automatic, or you need to do something. Also not sure on the potential cost.

Someone will chime in. Congrat's on finding a buyer.

Teri,

Check out your manuals if you still have them. I can check mine....right after I eat!!!

Teri,

When I sold my NX750, there was a card to present to the buyer that they need to fill out and send in to Tracker,, I cannot recall if there was a charge..Look in your paperwork, its about the size of a 3x5 card..

There should be a card in your book, i saw one in mine. The cost is $100 to transfer. Dont forget to do the same with your triton, thiers costs $100 too.

Right after I posted I got my paperwork out. I found the transfer card but it doesnt say anything about cost. For some reason I remember the warranty being 10 years but the card says 5 years for the hull, hull stringers, and transom. The decking was 10 years but its not transferable. What a suckie warranty.

No congrats yet. I set my price bottom price at 14K. He's offered me 13K based on Nada Low retail. I really haven't even posted it for sale yet except on here and BFHP. With all the options I think it would sell for at least 14K.

Teri,

My card said 5 years on the hull, stringers and transom. It didn't say anything about a transfer fee.

If you don't have to don't give it away. The boat buying season is just about to begin.

My understanding of the hull warranty transfer is that the origional owner gets 10 years and the second owner gets 5 years or the remainder of your warranty whichever is less. When I sold my Tracker there was a transfer fee.

Good luck,

Corey

There is a transfer fee and the 10 yr. coverage is only to the original owner.

Second owner gets 5yrs from the original date of purchase, from what i was lead to believe. Yes there is a transfer fee. Nitro tried to tell me the bank was the second owner on one of my Boat purchases. I asked them how does anyone tranfer a warranty that financed a boat? I was put on hold.
