Hi if i was to put a jackplate on my Nitro 640lx/90hp opti what setback should i get? Keep i nmind my engine will be tuned to a 115 proXS

I wouldn't go more than 6", 4" for better handling and you should be able to use your existing cables. Go any further and you will have one squirrely beast!!

Ditto. My Nitro had a six inch(15cm). It did nothing for the boat but help with backwash over the transom. I was told much more setback than that would put undue stress on the transom.

fatrap

I've got a 4.5 inch setback on my 700lx (rich put it on) and it really helps the handling of the boat and the ability to tune it with different props, as well as while the top speed didn't increase it handles better. I'm dying to see what top end you'll get, my bet would be 55+mph
