NItro 1800 Aft Deck......

First of all, thanks for all the help guys. For todays question, does anybody know if the optional aft casting deck on the nitro 1800 or kenner 180-V optional aft deck comes down paralel to the transom to totaly enclose the the battery compartment, or dose it stay open on the front side (by the cooler), only being closed on top? Does it provide extra closed storage space?

It is primarily a rear casting deck insert. The units I've seen will provide protection from above with open access to the underneath. I would only keep dry things under there in a waterproof container. The VL will provide much better water resistant storage, but at an increase in price.

I agree if your looking for more dry storage, go for the VL. but be sure to at least put a 115 on the back of the 1800 VL.
