I just picked up a used Jimmy 2000, w/ an oem 2" hitch

the bottom of the hitch is at 15.25" the top of my Tracker 1800TF is 19" when level. This is a 2" ball w/ 1" mount.

the ball height is 2.5" what would be the best rise or drop for a reciever. boat/tailer is about 2500#

You will want the trailer itself to be level or slightly tilted up towards the vehicle. Good Luck!

I have the same set up and I use a 2" drop.....works fine and the boat is level when it's hooked up to the hitch. I have an S-10 Blazer,....with a OEM hitch.

Be careful... is that 15.25" before of after you hook up the boat? It'll drop because of the vehicle's shocks.

Agree..you'll have to experiment. My personal preference is it's better low than high. On my 185..the skeg is close to the ground anyhow..lower in front is better.

15.25 is the bottom of the 2" hitch on the truck before

hook up. I don't know how much it will drop

boat is similar to 18' nitro
