Guys they have started releasing some new software for the Humminbird units on the Humminbird web site. Not all units will be getting new software and not all of those that do will get all of the new features. They are not finished with all the new software yet so if your model is not listed below just try and be patient. When you log into your account, be sure and select the Login button with your mouse cursor.

Hey guys,

They have released more software updates on the Humminbird site. This time they added software for the following models:

785c2 CP

785c2i CP

786ci CP

787c2

787c2i

797c2 Si

797c2i Si

Matrix 97

A lot of changes with this software package:

Most of the units shown in these two posts gained the LakeMaster mapping card capabilities (and all the special features they now have), the improved GPS refresh rate which is four times faster than before, the new 2D sonar color palettes, improved trolling motor noise rejection, fixed the Track offset issue, the Depth Alarm setting is now remembered when the unit is powered off, the units will automatically restore the menus to the factory defaults when new software is added, and several other issues were addressed. For the Si units they also now have the new Si color palettes and Down Imaging software (even on the 797 models).

Thanks Greg,

I downloaded them the other day for my 788 and 798 . I played with the smil a little on the 798 and the down imaging looks pretty cool. I cant wait to get it on the water in the spring and see what it can really do.
