I'm heading to Lincoln to watch the Huskers this weekend.

While I am up there(from Kansas), I was going to look for a new shotgun. I have never owned an auto before as I have always liked the doubles.

I have narrowed my choices down to Brownings Maxus Stalker or Winchesters Super X3 composite.

Does anyone have any experience with either of these guns?

Thanks, Chris F.

Bruce... I have four Rem 1100 2- 20 and 2 - 12... The last one bought was 20+ yrs ago... They are as good as I need... BTW 3 of my rifles, 7mm, 30 Win Mag and my .338 Win Mag are also Remingtons... Although I have a smattering of other models/brands (Rugers, Custom Mausers, and a Marlin .22) I am pretty much a Remington fan.

However, my most reached for shotgun is a 70's era Charles Daly .12ga O/U...

And, I do appreciate my friends Benelli Black Eagle in the duck blind (it works as good as my 3" 1100...lol

I have a Super X 2 and a Super X 3 ...they are both great guns...the Super X 3 is very light but has little recoil, u cannot go wrong with it. As for the Browning, Browning is now made by Winchester so i suspect they are the same gun. I know the SuperX 2 is the same weapon as the Browning Gold...the bolt will interchange. Hope this helps
