December 17th. The latest in the year I've had my boat in the water. Didn't catch squat but had a couple hits. It was nice just to be out. Water temp was 38 degrees, air temp was around 45.



Only 3 1/2 months till I'm out again. :angry:

I got bit on a small jig and twister tail. I tried suspending jerk bait, working it slowly. also a carolina rig and a couple other things. I probobly should have tried a dropshot but,I just thought of it. I'm winterizing on friday after I go pheasant hunting.

Andy, my bud was out on the St. Joe about two weeks ago and he was crankin a white crank. He would crank it down and let it float up for about 4-5 seconds then crank it back down. He did this by the rocks and coaught about 15 in 4 hours ( smallies) with the largest at 6.4lbs. What a day, wish I could have been with him!

I don't know how you boys deal with your water getting hard for 3+ months. We are getting all jazzed up about the 2007 tourney season about to kickoff. Bass Champs South opening day is on Lake Amistad 1/13/07. I plan on spending the first week of 2007 prefishing the Texas/Mexico border!



At least you guys might get a white Christmas.

Clueless, it's tough up here man. The good news is that you can help make the hard water season up here easier for us to deal with. Just keep your comments about the soft water to yourself. From December to April all posts should be under the "Off Topic" heading.
