I just purchased my first Nitro a 2005 911CDC. I have a couple questions that I wonder if a 911 owner or any NItro owner could answer. When I bought the boat the battery charger had been removed. The trolling motor batteries are under a storage compartment on the left and right and their wires run back to a control panel mounted on the transom. Do I connect the battery charge to that control panel? Also on the left side just behind the trolling motor battery is a long screw about ten inches that is mounted into the boat and had a nut on it, what is that for? Does anyone have available a owner's manual for this boat? Thanks for all your help, a proud new Nitro owner Pat

Congrats on the new boat. Someone will be able to help you I am sure. There usually are no owner's manuals of any use, very generic.

It is my opinion that the best way to connect an onborad charger is directly to the batteries. If you are looking for a new one, I can suggest a GUEST brand.

Thanks Greg, It would be a small nightmare trying to get the cable thru to the batteries the way they have set them up. I've never owned a bass boat that didn't have the batteries in the rear compartment. These batteries are mounted direct behind the driver and passenger seat and under a storage compartment. I think they were trying to bring some weight forward because there is plenty of room in the rear compartment for a couple more batteries. I forgot to ask in my orginal post what size trolling motor the guys are running. This has a 24v 80lbs thrust Motorguide.

Ok these are easy questions. I have an 05 911, the long bolt behind the left seat is for the spare prop, should have a large washer and a wing nut to hold it in place.

the charger should hook to each battery, it is easy to route the cables, just up to the gunnal and thru. and yes the batteries are there to transfer weight.

i run a 109 tour edition motor guide.

Congrats on your new boat! I agree with gofish4168,its easy to get the wires to the batteries,my 929cdx has them in the same place-just push them through the gunnel and your good to go,and yes they need to be connected to the battery itself!Once agin Congrat on the new boat and tight lines!!

my charger is hooked up at the terminal block.

My charger hooks to the terminal black just like the picture shows in the above post.

Spare prop....da....you think I could have figured that out. I'm going to run the wires as suggested. Thanks for all the info, great forum. Pat
