New boat...

ok. one more day to go. still a few things to do. must call insurance agent and get that taken care of. need to make sure the hitch ball is tight before i head for the dealer's friday. need to get a padlock for trailer. wonder what my new numbers will be? should clean garage up a bit. OMG!!! where am I gonna put this thing?? 3rd stall is full of mowers, snow blower, trimmer, yard work tools, junk, stuff and more stuff. can't put it in my stall -- it's right where the door to the house is. I KNOW!! put in wife's stall. she can leave her car outside. OPPS!! probably a bad plan. let's see... put her car in my stall. put boat in her stall. put truck in ??? hmmm.... this does get complicated quickly doesn't it?? I KNOW!!! put her car in my stall. boat in her stall. my truck in 3rd stall. sell mower, snow blower, trimmer, tools. buy more rods and reels. pay neighbor kid to do the yard work. go fishin.... Sounds like a plan.....

NOW you're talkin'! Actually JJ, get a shed to put all the lawn stuff in, and put the boat in the 1st stall so you see every morning on your way out to work and call in to go fishing more. Put your truck next to it in the 2nd stall, and your wife's car in the 3rd so she has to walk past them both coming and going until she decides you should go fishing to make more room for her to park in the first stall.

I know it's a ways off, but take my advice on winter storage...Do not store that new boat in your garage...

It's a mistake I will not make again...Every day I would walk through the garage I would have to see my boat...

Knowing I couldn't go fishing in it!!!

However, as some on this board have mentioned doing...

If you do store it in the garage and "the fever" gets too intense, you can always sit in your boat and make motor noises...hahaha

Wish I had a heated garage. I would video a tape of me running on the water in the summer and then mount a big screen on the bow in the winter and play the tape!
