Hey guys, I think I may finally start looking to get my 1st bass boat of any kind here shortly, and have always been intrigued by the features/pricing of the Nitro line.

Do you guys have any advice on things to watch out for and maybe some things that I would be better off adding myself to a new boat rather than adding it as an option from the factory (For instance, I've read a bit about things like the keel guard and covers as well)

This will be the first time I am looking at a boat in a dealer so just wondering what to expect, thanks!

Mike

Number one and two in my book is to up the HP to what you can afford and the boat can handle for all the reasons such as resale, performance, etc.

Same with the electronics and add one at the bow.

Make sure it has hydraulic steering and brakes if you are planning on any type of distance traveling as they should be stardard on all boats over 18 feet and 150 HP.

You can add the retractable tie downs, cover, spare etc..........

The first four are musts in my book.

Randy!

I have a 2009 Z7. As Randy said above this is very important. It is better to let the dealer do it than doing it yourself. You will like the new Nitros.

Mike, Come on down to Bass Pro St. Charles and check out the Z-7 we have on the floor. The 2012s are about to come out and we have an 11 left. Thanks, Rich

Shop around for the electronics and install them yourself, Tracker thinks a lot of their upgrades on GPS and FF. Best thing I did with mine is Hydro steering and hotfoot and trim on the wheel, have them install a 7"-8" jackplate(most of us have one), got the dual console for the passenger and have been thanked by the all.
