Just needed the support and prayers of my friends. My wife and I just put a bid on the house we have been searching a long time for. It's beautiful. 2 1/2 story colonial, 14 rooms, 3,100 square ft, with 2 acres and a barn. Nice rural area. Just what we've been looking for. Keep your fingers crossed that we get it. Plus it has an efficiency apartment in the back so I can put up clients. BUT since during the rally, I won't be guiding, one of you will be able to stay and save some $$$. Trep? Your welcome....sleep with one eye open! LOL Anyhow, I'm excited about it. Great house to have some C&L's around the table.

Rob, Hope you get it. You must be planning on staying and not relocating down south then? You wouldn't know what to do without snow anyway. Good luck.

Yeah, this will seal the deal if we get it. Plus, I like a LITTLE snow every now and then. You know, gentle snow falling outside the big bay window as you sip on your corona in front of the warm fire, in your favorite chair, with your best dog at your feet. That's the way to suffer through winter, then your loving wife slips into the room and smiles and SCREAMS, "GET OUT THERE AND START SNOW BLOWING SO WE CAN GET OUT!!!!"..... Maybe south is good!

Rob,

Buying a house is just like buying a boat. The anticipation is half the fun. Receiving the keys is the other half. Then you can finally experience the joy of sinking even more money into it after it's yours. You and your family will have my prayers.

We just went through the same thing here a couple months ago. I know how nerve racking it can be to wait to find out if you are getting the house.

Hope it works out for you, We'll be praying for you

Good luck Rob! The wife and I just sold our little spot in the country and moved to town for the time being! I hate moving, but I hate living in town even more! We called to check on some acreage and are waiting to hear something ourselves. I hope we both get what we want!

GOOD LUCK ON THE HOUSE ROB. I JUST BOUGHT MINE LAST SEPT.

AND ITS GREAT TO FINALLY BE IN MY OWN PLACE. JIM MOORE

P.S. I LOVE THE WINTERS UP HERE.

Rob, homebuying is a stressful, wonderful, happy occassion. I hope everything goes smoothly.

Good luck Rob....my Chief of Staff is going to need a nice home in the country to unwind from the rigors of the political life!!!

Rob - Good luck, keep us informed. House that thing sounds like an ESTATE! Just did my one and only trip to NY (1 hour north of the city) and confirmed with my boss that there is ZERO travel $$ for the remainder of the year. Good news is I get to say home with the wife and kids, bad news is I can't swing a trip to NY for the Rally. I'll be there in spirit with you guys!
