Well, in preparing my rods/reels/tackle for the upcoming season, and discussing the whole scenario with my wife; we talked about storing/carrying my 6 allowable rods (co-angler) in the Federation and when I fish co-angler in my local tourneys.

Last year, she made me a number of lure covers (velcro based), that I used. This winter she improved them by sewing in a 'tighter weave nylon' that the hooks do not penatrate as easily.

This past weekend, she attended part of Bassmaster U. with me, but didn't attend on Sunday. When I got home on Sunday evening, my six rods that I had out for my tourney this weekend, were all sitting in the corner with their new 'rod socks' on them. She spent most of the day on Sunday making rod socks for them. Now, I really don't have any concerns for tangles getting them to and from the boats.

Just wanted to leave a public 'thanks', to my longtime wife and partner - Mrs. Tex (Judy). She has put up with my for near 30 years (30th Anniversary this summer).

What a woman. Can she call my wife and enlighten her a little??? LOL

that is super Tex. maybe i'll find a good woman like that someday (miracles do happen). its good that she is involved in your fishing and can share the experience with you. hope you have some good tourney's and a happy anniversary this summer (hope its not on a tournament day too).

Tex...

Does your wife give lessons... Or, since "we" have only been married for 23 years...should I expect a dramatic shift in her behavior in the next seven years... I love my wife, respect her, and we have a very good friendship and marriage... But, if I came home and found she had sewn me some rod socks I would check my boat and truck for damage!!!

Sure makes it nice when ya' have a life partner that's part of fishin' with ya'. I know Tex first hand...mine is absolutely crazy about fishin' as I am. She don't go as far as makin' sox fer my reels but,I'm sure she would if I ask. She does a lot to help me out too when we take our long fishin' trips to Dale Hollow...man is she hooked on them ol' brown fish! She caught her first 5 lber. last year and ya' know how the rest of the story goes....

Two loves in your life...what more could ya' ask fer.
