I am using a lowrance 332c with the gold edition hotmaps.

everything is off about 25-40 yards.

If I am working a shoreline my boat is (according to the chart ) is on shore.Enough to really make the system useless

I assume you have gone to GPS setup and followed the instructions????

That's big time off, for sure.

I've noticed that on some of my Hotspots maps, that the shoreline is not the most accuratly drawn in the world. I find that offshore humps, channels and such are far closer than what the shoreline shows.

How about offshore items/strucutre/contours on your Gold series?

Does your unit have WAAS, and is it turned on?

Tex

There you go, with WAAS turned off it would be off by what you are seeing. Make sure WAAS is enabled. Also if you mark a spot and go away can the unit put you back on that same spot, say a marker bouy. With WAAS on you should be in a 3 meter circle.
