It has been 2 weeks now since I have had her. Just over 700 miles. I have worked long and hard for her. I graduated in the top 25 in high school. I put myself through college with scholarships and federal grant money. I passed my state board licensing test. I packed up and moved to Austin. Found myself a job working in 2 hospitals. Bought my self a "new to me" house. After waiting what seemed like an eternity, I was finally able to buy my first brand new truck...a 2003 Chevy Stepside with the 5.3L V8 and heavy duty towing pkg. Power everything, all the bells and whistles, except for leather. Didnt want to burn my arse in the summers! No boat yet though. Maybe next year. 20' Avalanche? Our wedding in Italy comes first. Then she said I could have a boat. See "My Library" for pics.

Great truck!! Maybe I can haul my boat down to Austin and we can use your truck to pull it to Stillhouse. I'll use any excuse to go to Austin!!



If you're interested, I have an extra K&N filter and cleaning kit for that motor. Filter was used on my truck for about 5,000 miles before I bought the whole air-induction kit. All clean and ready to go....cheap.



BTW...great smoker! Looks like you enjoy BBQ as much as I do! Just finished my first season with a much smaller New Braunfels and can't wait to get her fired up again.

I've had some parties/BBQ's that required some serious grilling. Don't know if I've had one big enough for that monster...yet!!



BTW...where did you get the bedrail caps for your truck? I've looked all over for nice ones that match the one bolted to the tailgate.
