My first boat!

I know we have done this before, but I found this picture last night and it brought back some fond memories. It was a 1986 Skeeter FS 80 w/ a 70hp Johnson. I payed $3000 for it at the time. My wife said you would have thought it was a $30,000 boat the way I took care of it, but to me it was!!! I didn't even have a truck to pull it with , I had to put a hitch on my Volvo!

I guess admitting you had a Skeeter isn't so bad... But, a Volvo, man... what were you thinking... LOL



I'll bet you did love that boat... And, those early Skeeters were good boats...



I still own my first boat... I was 10 yrs old and my dad gave me a 16' Larsen with a 10hp Johnson... Boat is still around... Aluminum lasts! Forty some years later... I just can't part with it... I'll try to get a picture of it and post it....

Great picture. As you know I also own a Skeeter, 94 with a Merc. XR6 150. I do love the boat and I will hate to see it go down the road one day.
