Got a problem hoping somebody can help. Sunday fishing a tourny I switched the TM on high 24 to get across a cove

got about halfway when the TM quit, popped the breaker. I reset the breaker, cut it back to four and continued across the cove. Fished the rest of the day on 12 volt, this was a crappie Tourny and needed a slow troll.

Well went out today & had no 24 volt again the breaker was tripped, when I tried to reset the breaker I got a bad spark like I had crossed the batterys. My wire set-up is the same as it's always been now I get an arc whenever I touch the wire to the post.

Any ideas?

Check your trolling motor receptacle end. Open the plug up and see if it has melted or arched across the inside causing a dead short when you switch to 24v.

My guess id that bassinfool isnt such a fool. More than likely the plug melted. I have done it a few times.
