Hi everyone I recently purchased a 2007 Nitro with a 115 HP 2 cycle Mercury. What's the best type of oil I should use?

You will find varying opinions about this subject for sure. As long as the oil you use meets the specificications for the oil type for your engine- use whatever brand you want. It absolutely does not matter other than that. Get ready for some nay sayers on this but I"ve been at it a long time, never any issues. Therer is no reason to buy overpriced products. It is critical to match the oil specifications regardless.

Mercury Premium Plus 2 cycle oil. It has fuel system cleaners and fuel stabilizers in the full synthetic blend . That's my choice in less it is a Opti Max DFI then I would use Mercury Opti Max oil .

Optimax needs DFI oil
