Mooring mates

Does anyone have Mooring mates installed on their Nitro? A friend has two installed on his Ranger and swears by them.They look great and seem convenient but look like trouble if that retractable coil and spring should go bad. Any opinions?

i had some of that type on an older boat. they work really well. i would think it would take 5 or 10 years for that spring to wear out. once it does, it is really a mess to fix.
