I found some power pro line that you told me about, I got it in 10lb / 2lb dia, seems light for spinnerbaits?( that's what dick wrote down for me)

I am getting ready to purchase some more all star rods

what do recomend for a jerk bait rod (spinning) jump in here Mack.....

AST785S is the rod I use for jerkbaits...6'6" spinning.



The Power Pro you have is really small... I use the 8 pound dia. 20 pound test or the 10 pound/30 pound. I use XPS mono for jerkbaits and spinnerbaits.

The new Pro Qualifier's are sweeet rods too, they can also be fitted with a rod balancer which eliminates a lot of strain on your forearms!!...I use a 6'6" Med action for 5" and longer Jerkbaits and I also use a 6'0" Med for little baits like small Rapala's, thunderstick jr's, and tiny torpedo's etc.....all of the PQ rods sell for $119.00ea. and the balancer kits are $9.95 I think...

Don't buy the PQ rods at $119... They had them on sale for $69 a couple of months ago. I suspect that the Spring Fishing Classic will see better pricing on them. The classic was in Feb last year, probably early March this year (if the Grapevine store has a say in it).

actually the reason I'm not with All Star now, is because I can be had for too "cheap"........They won't start getting serious about recruiting me until I charge 4-5times what I get now!! They have a certain image to uphold y'know! lol

I use 20lbs power pro for my spinning rods (smallies) and 40-50lbs on my flipping rods.....I think it's great! not so much when I tie into a dock....pull the damn thing right to the boat!
