Three nuns are accidentally run over by a bus and are killed.
They wake up to find themselves standing at the gates of heaven, with St. Peter walking toward them, and are extremely excited.
Peter comes up to the group and tells them that he is pleased to greet them, but that to get past the gate they will each have to answer one question. If they answer correctly, the gates will open and they will hear the choirs of angels singing gloriously to welcome them into eternity.
The first nun steps up and St. Peter says, "Ah, Sister Maria, you were such a blessing to the church and to your community, so here is your question: 'What was the name of the first man?'"
Maria is shocked. She cannot believe that this is the question, and looks perplexed. She thinks, This is too easy, but then quickly answers, "Adam." The gates immediately open to the glorious sound of the heavenly choir, and Maria walks in.
Then St. Peter turns to the next nun and says, "Sister Angelica, you were such a blessing to the church and to the orphans in your care, so here is your question: 'What was the name of the first woman?'"
Angelica feels a tremendous sense of relief and answers, "Dear St. Peter, her name was Eve!" The gates immediately open to the glorious sound of the heavenly choir, and Angelica strides in.
The third nun approaches with a huge smile on her face. "St. Peter, I am ready for my question," she says.
St. Peter looks at her and says, "Well, Sister Anne, we know that you struggled mightily with your faith and wrestled with keeping your vows, so here is your question: 'When Eve first saw Adam in the Garden, and they were yet naked, what was the first thing she said to him?"
Anne is stunned! She searches her memory for the answer, but cannot find it. Then she begins to get angry at the fact she is being asked this kind of question. Out of frustration she blurts, "Oh my! That's so hard!"
The gates immediately open to the glorious sound of the heavenly choir, and Anne walks right in.
