Ok, I'm bored. I'm sure Rich has this info, but I loaded the member list into a database, then ran some queries to determine a member count for each state/area. I sorted in descending order. Looks like Texas is tops. Here you go:

Now..... Do you think it would be possible to expand that table a bit..... Include distribution of reels so we can see if any particular manufacturer dominates a region..... And is rod length and action determined by region..... Do people in Texas have one preference for line weight and color as opposed to people in Ontario..... Baits preferred by region.....

You have 3 months to accomplish this Impossible Mission!

HAH With all the cabin fever goign around, bet it will be posted inside of a week!!!!!

You guys are too nice.

1 day and I don't care if you have to work over Christmas!

Well, interesting stats. Would like to see the number of posts from members by states. Who is the biggest poster? That's poster not imposter.

Some of the more prolific:

Rob -- 6512 posts since 3/19/01 -- 197 posts per month.

me! -- 5680 posts since 5/13/00 -- 132 posts per month.

Mac -- 5087 posts since 5/3/00 -- 118 posts per month.

TOXIC -- 3357 posts since 8/7/02 -- 209 posts per month.

Carlos -

Go to a member's profile. It will tell you how many posts they've had and the date of their first post.

Carlos H -- 1040 posts since 3/27/02 -- 49 posts per month.

OK all you bored yankees - Someone do a distribution by BOAT! So we know how many of each model we have, then when you get bored take that data and sort by year, state and motor size!!!

Hey Trep,

FYI...it is warmer in VT than Atlanta today!

Bob - I HATE YOU!!! It's 7:52pm and it's already down to 32! Good news is the Hot Tub is turned up to 104 so i'm going for a dip!

You and all the rest of the board have a safe and Merry Christmas!

A hot tub would be pretty cool right about now!! It rained all day and the snow is melting some.....good for the roof!

Trep,

I was going to do boat distribution as well, but it requires much more data "massaging". Looking at the member list, there are many varying ways each person described the same boat. I'll see what I can come up with.

Ok Trep, it was somewhat painful but see my new post on "member boat distribution". I can now probably sort by state, but not by motor or year because a lot of members left this out of their boat profile.

Might be kinda cool for one person in each state to organize a mini-rally. I love my bride dearly, but she really puts her foot down on how long I can be gone.

Best regards
