How can McCain call himself a maverick and different from the mainstream GOP when he wanted Lieberman as VP, and had to settle for Palin because a dispute with Rove and the same insiders that run the Bush administration? As reported on the fair and balanced Fox news, McCain wanted Lieberman, Rove wanted Romney. McCain countered with Ridge. They settled on Palin. If the man cannot even make such an important decision of his own VP without the influence fo the current insiders who drive the failed Bush presidency, how can he make his own decisions about our future as a country without the influence of the people who have taken it to one of it's lowest points?
