Marine Battery

Who sells marine starting batteries. I know Academy Outdoors sells "Stowaway".



Does Walmart? or Sears? Or do i need to go to a boat dealer to get them?

WalMart, Sears, Academy all sell marine batteries, starting and deep cycle. Just about any place that sells batteries will sell marine batteries.

Even try Costco and Sam's Club. You can get some excellent prices!

If you want a battery that will work hard and last a long time, get an Army battery. :wacko::wacko:

You can also try some of the sporting goods stores. Dick's carries Minnkota batteries (mostly deep cycle from I recall) and Bass Pro Shops definitely have both deep cycle and marine starting (if there's one nearby). Depending on how big your local auto parts stores are, you can even find them there (e.g., Advance Auto, Autozone, Pep Boys, etc). Also check out Sears.

Unless you don't like to take care of your batteries, , or you have a mounting application that doesn't allow a flooded regular battery, don't spend that extra money on an AGM battery like a red top. It actually has less capacity than a good flooded battery costing 1/2 as much.
