I have a Lowrance Elite 5 DSI I want to buy a map chip. I'm torn between Hot maps or fishing hot spots. Any advice would be appreciated. I have been on both web sites but still can't make my mind up. Please make my mind up.

The answer to your question is obviuosly Navionics!

It's not that simple. You want the one that has the waters you fish included AND the detail you want. Some don't like the lack of detail that Navionics has for some waters. I see lots of posts on some sites about wanting older issues of Navionics software that have map features that were deleted in the newer versions.

Your question should include what body/s of water and the detail you want. Those that have those mapping softwares can tell you the pros and cons.

It is that simple now.

You are referring to the road beds and creek channels disappearing from certain Navionics chips. Well they are back....and can be updated daily for free for a year.

NO ONE can do that except Navionics.
