OK, it's only December but old man winter is at it full force this year and a little ahead of schedule. It's now getting into the single digits. Tonight a low of 6 degrees, tomorrow a high of 10! If we're lucky, we'll get some 35 degree weather this weekend, but it's doubtful. If we do, it will be accompanied by snow! This bites! I need more beer and football and I'll see you all in April after ice out.

I'm from Ottawa Canada,really cold here, I seen a guy out fishing in a Princecraft on Saturday,was probably around 0 degrees out,he wouldn't be out there today unless he is nuts,going down to -8f tonite plus windchill

Was going to go to BPS tonite to pick up Rob's maps he wants for the Northern Everstarts next year,...but since it's SNOWING SIDEWAYS here and has been all day!! Plus it's supposed to get down to 10 tonite,...it's WAYYYYYY toooooo cold to go anywhere!! Now if he get's down off that table and puts his "Dancin' shoes" away for a couple of months..it'll get warm enough to venture back out!! Until then Mr.MaLoy,.......NO MAPS FOR YOU!!!!....Call me the Map Nazi if you want,..but I know the results of a Nekid Snow Dance when I see one,...and you sent it too far WEST!! Next time aim SOUTH and we'll give it another try!!...Now SIT!! LOL

Rob, you had better figure out which 'tool' is the aiming device on your snow dance. Obviously, you have an aiming problem.
It's cold here, but in comparision to what you folks are getting, the only thing I need here is some additional sun block!
By the way, I finally got the roll of pic's developed from when Trepper and I got to go fishing in October. As soon as I get the scanner back up and running, I'll post up some pic's. Want to make sure that Trep get's his just desserts!

Yesterday I hunted birds in a flannel shirt. It was almost 60 degrees. This is Iowa. We used to have winters years ago. I have a place you all can sleep and birds to hunt. Yu can even bring your dog. Long live global warming.

Didn't get out this weekend, Saturday was my planned trip but 30-40mph gusts of wind AND a complaining wife kept me off the water. Turned out the complaining wife had a SURPRISE (dinner and a movie with my folks watching the boys) which is why she didn't want me to go out. Hit a new brew pub (great food and decent beer) and then the new Bond flick (good one!).
With all the fishing stuff collecting in the boat since Hanukah started i'm shooting (if weather permits) for next Sunday for my next trip. Gotta try out my new Spoons, some live bait for Stripers (with my new rod holders, coat and gloves!!!!)

Low of six, HA, try a low of 0 to -10 tonight is what the weather station is calling for. Ice fishing starts this weekend. I'll hammer some monster basses through the ice on my little jig pool with 4 lb test line.

Tomorrow, look at what I left on Ken's chair in his office. Be sure to read the instructions on the side, especially #1!
By the way, one of the trout in the tank looked like he had a run-in with the pike.

The trout always have run-ins with the pike.....but it is usually a dead end run.

Here's a good one for ya in regards to "activists" and the tank at BPS in MI. Seems some "concerned" citizen felt that the turtles didn't have enough places to hide and climb up on to get out of the water if they wanted to...and this person felt that one of the turtles was "scared to death and cowering in a corner"...so he/she called the DNR and filed a complaint. Well....according to the care taker of the tank, they showed up as required after someone files a complaint and they did a thourough inspection of EVERYTHING!....Seems the officer was VERY IMPRESSED with our care taker and his "pet project" (no pun intended)... he showed her EVERYTHING he does and explained all the who's what, where's and why's of his whole operation. They talked for well over an hour and the Officer told our care taker that he was doing an "Outstanding job" and that he need not worry about anything....that his animals and facilities were in great shape and she was totally impressed! Scott, our care taker, told me that last weekend. He sure does do a great job there.....his talks with kids and his feeding demonstrations are unreal!! Always draw a huge crowd when the store is busy!! We are VERY lucky to have a guy of his caliber there...he's awesome! (Keep up the GREAT WORK Scott!!!)

Dang you Rob, you musta been out hoppin nekid in the woods again, now they are calling for 2 to 4 inches here tomorrow. Quit sendin' old man winter this way, you only got him 1/2 way south. We will warm up enough to get out but it just gets more miserable!! Just as long as the water stays soft.......Now you just wait, I'm going to put on the eagle headress, paint myself red and do my wampum stompum heatwave dance and with a few pyrotechnic add-ons will have it 80 degrees here in no time.
