Macs' Little Bro - Sorry Guys.

Well, I went and did it! Test drove a Ranger and I was hooked like a fish on live bait! For various reasons, I did not go with the 901 I was looking at. But y'all were such a big help, not to mention funny as he**, that I hope you don't mind me hangin around once in a while. I really like the Nitros a lot, and I like y'all even more.



Anyway, check out my library for some pics of the new baby. I went with the Yammie 200 HPDI and so far, I love it! Oh yea, the boat is a 519DVX Ranger Cup Edition. It's a little smaller than Macs, and it has the face of Forest Wood on the front deck! Kinda looks like the Marlboro Man! Well, better than a picture of me! LOL!



Had it up to 64.5 GPS so far. Runs like a scared rabbit! Can't hardly believe how this thing handles rough water.



Anyway, keep in touch. Hopefully I'll catch y'all in the chat room soon.

Thanks. I almost forgot. FIRST FISH in the boat! It's a puppy by Texas standards, only 4 pounds. But it's this guys first bass ever! He had two other nice ones on that morning, but they spit the hooks at him at the boat! That was revenge for me! LOL!



P.S. That's not me. I'm a LOT better looking! And you won't see me in plad pants! It's amazing he caught anything in those things! LOL!

At least my partner (in my last tourney) allowed me to catch the first fish out of my Stratos, though it was a dink.

I am a firm believer in "just get a boat". It doesn't matter if it is tin, wood, glass, concrete, cardboard or even a Ranger... Just get one..... However, I do have to draw the line at plaid shorts!!! Even I have my limits!!!

Last sunday it was a real crappy day and Dad and I went out fishin on Spring Lake (Connected to the BIG Lake(Lake Michigan) and it was raining off and on so...we put our raingear on now since im a growing boy i dont have one of those expensive rain suits and dad does. Anyways i put mine on...it was a BLUE and i mean blue, Stearns rain poncho that could be reversed to be yellow. Dad had his Cutter and Buck rain suit on. Well i looked like a real freak show in the front of his boat...well while it was raining and while wearing my poncho i kicked his butt fishing and i wasnt wet and he was!!! HAHAHA





So the moral of the story is you gatta do what you gatta do to catch fish.

Thanks y'all! Yea, you're right. I have to make SOME rules! I shouldn't have let him fish until I caught my fish (I did catch a 3 1/4 pounder with one eye!! LOL) and no more plad.....plaid......pliad.....oh he**!! I can't even spell the darn things! NO MAS!!



I figure that with only one eye, my fish must not have seen those shorts. Ha!



You're right Jim J. I love just about anything that floats (boats I mean, I know how y'all think).

I never said I could afford it, I just bought it anyway, LOL.



But seriously, youse guys (that was for Steve R.) are great! You have a lot of participation and are VERY helpful. There's no comparison with the other boards out there. I have owned trackers in the past, and I have friends (if you can believe that!) that own Nitros, and love them all. I know that I'm an "outsider" now, but I don't want to give y'all up!



By the way Soonerfan. One of my best friends in the world lives in Edmond. I work for the F.A.A. and spend a ton of time in OKC. As a matter of fact, I'll be there for the whole month of August (July 22 thru Sept. 2). Haven't decided if I am going to bring the boat or not. Maybe we should compare fishin' notes! The only lakes I have fished up there is Texoma, Eufalla and Chickasae (pardon the spelling). Always ready to fish, or at least talk about it!
