Hey Mac when we got home from the BPS last Saturday, the first thing my grandson did was show the rod you painted to his grandma. He really like it, glad I got to me you and thanks for the paint job. Glad Christian got a Mac original!!! I just gotta find a way up to Michigan so I can get Mac to do all my other rod handles!!!

I think its a Clear coat of laquer....Mac will tell you if you ever get a rod done by him. I do know alot of people get two done so one can be put on the wall.

I spray it with Krylon "Crystal Clear"....it dries in less than a minute and it seals and preserves the art,...won't smear and it's water proof...the stuff is magic on cork!!

BTW,...had a situation in Nashville where a dude bought 4 Extreme Combo's to have me do fish and baits on the handles,..his 8-10yr old boy stood there and watched with eyes the size of baseballs...he kept saying "Dad,..I want a tshirt,...will you buy me a t-shirt?!"....His old man said,.."Quiet Boy!!,,....I ain't buyin' you a t-shirt..They're too expensive!!" (at $14.95, I have NO control over what BPS sells them for),..but I was so p-o'd at that "Dad",..for spending $280-300 bux on himself for those 4 combo's and he wouldn't buy his kid a $15 tshirt!!

I almost painted a (censored) image on his handles!! What a jerk!!..
