Lowrance HDS transducer locations

Yes i just bought a lowrance HDS 8 and the structure scan and was wandering were i need to place the two different transducers that come with this. PLease help so i get this done correctly. thanks again

Try to place them within 2 feet of each other. This makes for a much better "overlay" between the sonar and the structure scan. I LOVE mine.

The 2D transducer goes either on the inside for shoot thru (see instructions that came with unit) or the transom via the bracket.



the LSS-1 Transducer mounts either to the step on the back of the boat or to the side of the jackplate. See MANY pictures on BBC in the electronic section.

Mini what do you mean the step on the back of the boat? and what is the bbc

that boat has a stepped transom. The part where the motor mounts is the setback. the part where the livewell and bilge drains are is the step.



you want the 2d on the lowest part of the hull (or inside) and the horizontal section of the step is where the lss-1 ducer will mount
