I'm interested in a bimini top for my Tracker Pro Deep V-16 SC. In the 2003 BPS marine catalog (page 87) there are 6' and 8' models. I think I want the 8' model, which comes only in 54" height, in a 75"-81" width (BPS # 20-581-712-00 and # 20-581-736) Does the 54" height sound right? In another thread it was mentioned to "Get the one with an adjustable slide and the removeable pins." I don't see any mention of this feature in this model, perhaps there's a better choice? They offer vinyl and acrylic fabric with the acrylic running about 75% more money, is it worth it?

Thanks.

I put one on my pro angler, you can check my files for pix. I am pretty sure I ordered mine through Cabela's. The 54" sounds right. A great investment! You can order the slider mounts seperately, but I found I didn't have to.

Thanks for the advice. I tried a local "canvas guy" and got an installed price of $575 for an L8'X W84" X H54" bimini in Sunbrella. (+ $100 for hard fasteners, + $75 for a boot)Sounds pretty good, but also a bit pricey. The BPS unit is priced right at $285 in Outdura acrylic. The Outdura has a pro-rated 5-year warranty (if failure at 1 year you get 80%, 2 years 60%, etc,). Has anyone used the Outdura material? There are also several internet companies that offer exactly what I want, but who knows if the quality is there. So, pay the long dollar for a sure thing, or take a shot in the dark?
