Looked at a new Triton.....

Yeah..... I did..... They sure are pur-r-rty boats! Fast, too!



But you know what my feelings were after I left the dealership?



First..... Heck! Why am I looking - I couldn't afford to buy another boat right now even if I wanted to!



Second..... How in the world can anyone take a shiney, new boat - of any make - and run it back in the stumps and rocks! I'd be a nervous wreck! Afraid of getting the first scratch on it! Getting mud on the carpet! Spilling oil in the bilge!



Finally..... How in the world could I ever come back to this board and face all of you! I would feel like I had abandoned my "Family"! Like cheating on a mate! Like a dandeline in a rose garden! A banjo picker at the opera!



Guess I'll be a "Used Nitro" owner/buyer for life!

And happy to be one!

I ALWAYS love looking at new boats, cars, trucks and gear!! Heck I love looking at www.carmax.com all the time to see what certain vehicles (new and used) cost. Sometime's it comes in handy, like when your wife get's her Van totaled and you quickly need a new set of wheels! Also it's like window shopping at the mall!

Nothin wrong with "window shopping" . Now that I bought a boat earlier this year, I'll still be going to the boat show anyway over the winter. (just leaving the charge cards, checkbook, etc. at home! hehe) Mike

When I announce I am going to a boat show my wife requires that I submit to x-rays and body cavity searches to insure I have no check books, credit cards or bank ATM cards....
