saw it on BBC Tee. Pinned in the Lounge. His wife posted in it. Sad stuff!

Article stated he DID NOT HIT A SAND BAR. Wife was quoted that hyd steering line was broken on the boat when it was recovered.

I used to NOT wear my PDF except when forced too (or it was too cold in the winter and kept by skinny butt warm), but since i've been back from China I will no run down the lake without one - period. Even got (Hannukah Present) a fully inflatable Mustang vest for the warm/hot months.

ROTFLMAO at Dan's comments. Yeah Trep, careful about what you think you are wearing!



Unfortunately, we hear these stories far too often. I was up at the local marina/restaurant getting lunch on Memorial day, watching all the folks having fun in their boats. Amazing just how many boats:



1) Were completely overloaded.



2) Only smaller children wearing PFD's (if at all)



3) And completely lost count of how many had no idea how to control their boat or approach a dock to tie up.
