New to the site and glad I found it. Bought a 1985 Tracker III this fall in very good condition. My first upgrade from the old jon boat. Replaced the trolling motor and just got new marine grade AWG6 wire to replace existing wiring. (breaker too) On to my question. My son and I had the boat out and had some fish in the live well. Switched on the aerator and forgot about it running until the live well flooded. Upon returning home I flushed the live well drain line but have read on other web sites about this happening to others. Is this common and is this one of the reasons for the timer switch for the aerator pump? Do aerator pumps typically pump more than can drain out as quickly? Your comments will be most welcomed. :)

Yes, you can over-run the capacity of the livewell to drain. Check and see if you have a timer (may say auto), it cuts it on and off.
