What line do you spool your spinning reels with

Currently using excel by BPS works good but it has a awful lot of stretch, which will affect my hookset on a fish that is on at the end of a long cast

recomendations???

I use Berkely Tournament Strength line...

normally 10 lb test for spinning reels...

have had excellent results with it...

I use spiderwire braid and fusion. More luck with the braid.

I like a thin line with high strength.

david....

Spiderwire fusion on my favorite spinning setup, but I notice I get less bites than my wife when she is fishing alongside with a mono lone. I think Spiderwire is a little more visible.

Of course, it could simply be that she is a better, more patient angler than I. :)

Other than that, I like Silverthread and Rapala in 6lb and 8lb.

P-Line 8 lb test in moss green, works great for sinkos and tube fishing. I've pulled bass out of places that I wouldn't throw my 50 lb test into.

P-Line Floroclear in 10 lb test...awsome for fishin 3X Zulu Jerkbaits..matter of fact i caugt two today on topwater...cant wait to catch more!

TOX-

Say it isn't so!!!!

Ahhhhh

That's my fav...

I better start "hording it" whenever I see a box...

Come to think of it, it has been disappearing from the shelves...

thanks for the info...

Spiderwire Super mono is just about all I use if I can get it..if not Trilene...it has more stretch but, is soft and don't have a ton of memory. To me that's one of the most important things...if it stretches a little more..I just set the hook harder.

I used Spiderwire Fusion last year, and for the most part liked it. Trying some McCoy's Mean Green (6 & 8 lb versions) this year. I like it, but seems to be a little more prone to loops if you are not careful.

I've been using plain, old Stren Clear for years and years on everything from ultra-lights for trout to medium-heavy for bass and catfish..... Never had any kind of problem..... I must be doing something wrong.....

I ALWAYS thought that Stren was good line for years until I started experimenting and found anything over 6 lb. test had WAY too much memory...I like somethin' strong but, not coiling off the spool like a spring...just 2 cent.

I use excel and i like it, i dont use anything under 10# and mostly 12# on spinning. I dont find line strech to be a really big issue for me.

BPS Excel has filled my freshwater needs and the Offshore Angler Tightline is great for salt and heavy freshwater applications.

Tox - Ande is still in production and is available at your local, neighborhood BPS. ("Ande" is the marketed name of the German mfg. that ships it to a well known Miami vendor who sells it under the acronym named after his wife Edna. Fishing Trivia!)

I have been using Triple Fish's Rx Spinning... it is the best I have found so far.

I just spooled up with McCoys's Mean green as a comparison.

Always in 6-8-10 # lines.

Used to use the Stren Clear Blue, but these two lines have a smaller diameter for the same # rating. Still use Stren blue for night/black light fishing.

I just found this out this year..When we went to Dale Hollow this year most all the BIG fish were hitting on Bandit 200 series cranks and found that 6 lb. test would make it run another two ft. deeper than 8 lb. line.

I used 6 and my dad used 8...I outfished him 2 to 1. I had to be careful though but, then again there wasn't a whole lot of cover except ledges so it wasn't an issue. Just had to make sure my drag was set.

I got my pictures back but, they was takin' with a reg. camera..so I'll have to scan em'...I'll try to post.
