I belive I have leaking rivets and used Aluma Weld on some. Then my son (an A&P person) says to use RTV silacone on them, are we on the right track?

You own a boat.

Silacone will be your lifelong friend!

Your constant companion!

You will discover all sorts of new things to do with your new friend!

to find out if you do is to fill the boat with water with the plug in it.then crawl under it and see where the water is coming from.then if it is the rivets, the proper way to fix them is to replace3 them.silicone is a temporary fix at best,jb weld, and the others is the same thing.

That kind of repair takes a real handyman, and we all know what the handymans secret weapon is... that's right DUCT TAPE. A couple peices and you're good to go! I wonder if would hold a bumper on a F150? Hmmmm
