I still say the next rally should be at Lake Fork in Dallas, Texas. We didn't have a scale in the boat, but she was estimated to be in the 10-11 lbs range. We caught 13 fish this was the largest... :)

That's a nice fish no matter what state it was caught in. Was that caught recently?

If it was caught this year on May 25th, or later, it'll take the new lead in the BB contest.!! Bob's 7-05 smallie is a shoe-in I think,...but the largemouth will probably change leads a few times!! (Thad's currently leading, unless this fish qualifies!!) Most of us thought from the very beginning that the smallie would come from the North and the Largemouth would be caught down south or in California!! So far, that's proving to be true!!.....I think we'll break the 10lb barrier too,....my prediction??..(a 13lbr!!) ....I still can't get over Bob's smallie though,....man that's a good fish!! I'd come un-glued if I had a fish like that on,..especially during a tournament! LOL I can only hope someday it happens!! Keep fishin everyone!! This is far from over!! Good luck!!

The fish was caught at Lake Fork in Dallas Texas on April 13th, on a weightless watermelon Zoom fluke with the tail spiked with chartreuse dip it. The ambient temperature was 80 degrees in the morning when a TEXAS cold front blew in and it dropped the temperature into the 60s in 2 hours (welcome to Texas).

She was caught in standing timber after the cold front arrived in appr. 5' of water near a old creek bed. She appeared to have already spawned, and was released to thrill another angler. The gator board was 26" long and she hung off a good 4". I also have a photo of her being released. It sure beat cutting the grass.

Thanks for the nice comments, and good fishin...

Thanks for being honest about the date,.....i love this board!! Looks like Thad's fish is still the leader then,....but with toads like that available in Wilder's back yard,......I'd be sweatin' bullets Thad!!..LOL

Awesome fish dude!!!
