Lake Marion/Santee Claims Three

Tuesday three men(aged 60,46,28) went out on Lake Marion in a 14' jonboat under small craft advisory to check catfish lines. They found two yesterday morning floating with life vest on and the other this afternoon, no boat as of yet. The 46 year old is from my town and has a daughter in the 11th grade at my school. Be safe out there, take chances with your lure choices not your lives.

Sad, but small craft advisories are publicized for a reason. Three men in a 14-foot jon boat sailing in a SCA is certainly ill advised.

Those lakes are mean enough when there is simply a breeze. When there are wind advisories up, they can be really ugly. Sorry to hear that they have lost their lives, but as advised above, being on the water and having poor judgement is no formula for success.
