Guys,

My dad has a 1999 Bass Tracker TX-17. He also has a 9.9 HP outboard he wants to mount as a kicker motor for the smaller state run lakes. He is having problems finding a mount for the motor that will work. Does anyone have experience with this that can recommend a solution? The motor is a tiller handle model if that means anything, also short shaft.

Thanks in advance.

I used to have one on my TF1800. I used a Garelick brand mounted on the transom off to the side of the big motor. It worked great.

I am not sure if that boat will handle the extra stress. A friend of mine had the transom welds crack on his pt series because his was not rated for the extra stress of the motor weight being so far off center.

but if you choose to do it the brackets are availible at bps.
