Kerr lake/Buggs Island

Where is a good place to put in at Kerr? I am coming from Richmond.

Depends where you want to be on the lake. Probably either Satterwhite Point in NC, or North Bend in VA. Then again, you can always go up to Clarksville as well. There are a bunch. North Bend is a huge campground and has 4 or 5 different launch ramps in the campground. It is right next to the dam.

You might also consider EastLand Creek ramp - sort of mid-lake.
